The organizers were up to the task. We were very warmly received. In addition, we were provided with a lot of attractions. On the second day of our stay, our group was thoroughly guided around the beautiful city hall, where the students learned the interesting history of this place.
It is worth highlighting a visit to the monumental Gothic Primada Cathedral. The students also went to the marzipan manufactory, where they learned step by step the process of creating this delicious mass (with tasting).
An interesting point of sightseeing was also a visit to Alkazar.
From Mirador del Valle we admired the views of Toledo from the Tagus River.
On our days off, we had the opportunity to learn about Spanish culture. An extraordinary experience were 2 trips to Madrid (23 and 26 January 2025).
Listening to the general rehearsal of the RTVE Symphony Orchestra at the Teatro Monumental and the concert of the National Orchestra in the Auditorium were a wonderful experience. Our students were delighted with art. It was an opportunity for them to get to know professional foreign orchestras. We were delighted with the Spanish cuisine, and most of all paella in the seafood version. We also visited the Prado Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. These were the mandatory points of the trip for us, as painting lovers.
The culmination of the internship were broadcasts and concerts. We will remember with great joy all of the leasing and the concerts: at Alkazar and Concierto de la concordia.
Exploring Toledo and Madrid allowed us to learn about the history, monuments, architecture and art of this beautiful country and motivated us to communicate in Spanish and English. The participants of the internship built relationships with new acquaintances, which resulted in the establishment of numerous international contacts. Love the hospitality of local people and marzipans. Definitely our new go-to spot.»
